All Ms. Weinberg-Benson’s tea pots are based on the ceremonies that evolve around first experiences in our lives. This work is wheel thrown and joined together while still wet with slip decoration, high fire glazes, sandblasted and drawn on with pastels.  A protective coating is then added. This work is about the importance of the first best friends in our lives be it a teddy bear or a next door neighbor.
