All Ms. Weinberg-Benson’s tea pots are based on the ceremonies that evolve around first experiences in our lives. This work is wheel thrown and joined together while still wet with slip decoration, high fire glazes, sandblasted and drawn on with graphite. A protective coating is then added. This work is about one’s first loves in our lives, ie. our parents and then as we mature our first more mature love.
