"The Healing Line of Light”

Atlanta Georgia

750’ X 20’

“The Healing Line of Light” is a 750 foot long ceramic and glass tile mosaic embedded in a ribbed concrete wall.  The brilliantly colored glass surrounded by rhythmically placed ceramic tiles runs from the upper drop-off platform down the stairs and out the entire length of the transit station.  This glass line represents the headlining line of light that the medical profession exudes when working with a patient and the fact that this transit system can be a healing line between the racially diverse parts of Atlanta.  Each of the two platforms, east and west, have three large abstract drawings in tile depicting movement, energy, and the high tech age we live in.  This piece won an American Institute of Architecture award.
